Summary

The Food Runner is responsible for certain duties including, but not limited to, setting tables, preparing and serving food items, clearing tables, refilling beverages, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and other related responsibilities. s.

Job Description

Complies with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service. Provides outstanding customer service and effectively communicates with patrons and co-workers. Demonstrates ability to establish effective working relationships.

Maintains quality control standards. Assures that all material used by server is clean and ready for daily operation. Sets the outside line with under liner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins and any other items needed for the delivering of food. Organizes the plates in the window and matches each one with each ticket to run the food out to the tables. Clears and resets tables, to include but not limited to: changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins. Assists the server when needed. Keeps work stations well stocked of items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining room.

Possesses ability to work independently when necessary. Possesses an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes. Demonstrates ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications



Minimum of 16 years of age. One month food service experience preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending upon location of hire, Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.
