Position Summary:

The Food Server serves guests and patrons of the Mohegan Sun Country Club according to department policies and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Services guests in the restaurant according to specific department proceduresSets up stations, does sidework and other opening and closing duties, as directed by the Restaurant ManagerAssists with arranging the room and setting tables for special events, as needed

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Participates in the cashier functionUp-sells products and uses endorsements at all appropriate service opportunitiesMay be asked to fill in as a Bartender, as neededMaintains a clean and sanitary work area

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Previous food serving experienceMust have experience in a fast paced, upscale, high volume environmentMust be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Basic knowledge of spirits, beers, wines and beverage service techniques

Training Requirements:

Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresFood and restaurant concept knowledge

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of timeFast paced kitchen environmentMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
