FOOD SERVICE AIDE II

Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Performs preparation and service of food including those duties requested in Diet Aide I. Will be cross-trained in a variety of jobs within the Food Services Dept, and may provide coverage to Coffee and Smoothie Bars as needed. Assists with tray quality audits, tallies for cold food production, processes meal cards and menus, and prepares nourishment and prescription formulas (when tube feeding is validated Tube feeding competency required). May perform other duties as requested. Takes into consideration age related factors in the preparation and delivery of food for pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with the departmental standards and diet manual.

REQUIREMENTS Preferred High School Diploma 2-4 years Two years experience in health care or equivalent required. Required SERVE SAFE Certification
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must demonstrate competency with the preparation of Tube feeding formula and labels according to departmental standards and have a clear understanding of special diets, allergies and special dietary requirements.
