Job Description
The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparation and delivery of off-scheduled patient services, provide high quality, good presentation, and high level of customer service satisfaction with sanitary conditions maintained throughout service and clean-up. Maintains kitchen work areas and equipment and utensils in clean an orderly condition by performing the following duties.
Job Duties
Ensures flatware holders are clean and filled.Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.Washes pots and pans thoroughly using established ware washing procedures.Sweeps and mops kitchen and dish room floors using proper procedures.Gathers and disposes of trash; operates dumpster properly.Follows hospital wide and departmental infection control policies and procedures.Requirements
Must have ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.Must be willing and able to perform routine repetitive tasks on a daily basis.Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods.Preferred Requirements
One to three months previous experience is preferred.Food handler card or Servsafe certificate preferredBenefits

Job Description
The Room Service Associate is responsible for serving patients in a professional and efficient manner. Works on assigned patient unit(s), and providing services that include, but not limited to, assisting patients in making meal selections, assembling, delivering and picking-up meal trays, as well as fulfilling special needs, throughout the shift. They are the main representative of the Food and Nutrition Service Department to our patients, helping to create a culture of comfort, and compassion in all that they do.
Job Duties
Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.Communicates with Nursing to ensure accurate diet and foods are provided to patients.Exhibits a pleasant ad cheerful demeanor when interacting with patients.Follows proper infection control guidelines during meal service to patients.Assembles trays according to patient menu on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.Attends all required safety training programs and describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals.Communicates any patient/customer related problems/concern to appropriate personnel, in a timely manner following departmental procedures.Requirements
Must have ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.Ability to push/pull more than 50lbs.Able to lift objects more that 20lbs.Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.Preferred Requirements
