We have an outstanding Contract position for a Food Service Worker to join a leading Company located in the Bay Pines, FL surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:  The contractor's supervisor will assign duties, and the contractor is expected to follow assigned duties and local policies and procedures. Duties make include but are not limited to cutting, chopping, washing produce, portioning, slicing, baking, broiling, boiling, blending. Contractor is expected to follow all local standardized recipes. The contractor shall set up and close down all service lines in a matter to ensure the availability of menu items from the posted meal opening until closing time, affording all customers the opportunity to be served. Person standard cross-panning procedures maintains proper temperature on serving lines. May serve in a cafeteria setting or on a tray line in the food production and service kitchen. Must be able to portion food items appropriately and read tray tickets or other documentation listing the food items to be served.For carryout service, the contractor shall make up boxes or containers and assemble and pack the meal components for pickup by others.May be responsible for receiving subsistence and material orders. The contractor will meet VHA standards for receiving and storage of subsistence.The contractor will follow all local facility policies and procedures in addition to the handbooks and guidance listed.To complete all assigned duties, which may include but are not limited to checking in orders, checking that quantities and items received match the invoice, checking for damage and signs of compromised food quality, inspecting for signs of pests infestation, dating labeling products, rotating and putting away stock, and removing items from cardboard boxes. The contractor shall clear, clean, and sanitize dining room tables, chairs, or benches at a rate sufficient to ensure their availability to customers and replenish dining table items (napkins, salt, pepper, condiments, etc.) so they are available to all patrons without waiting. Local policies and procedures will be followed.Proper methods for washing and sanitizing, including tables, will be followed at all times.The contractor shall comply with the FDA Food Code 2022, supplement, and all local policies and procedures.The contractor shall clean floods so that no visible dirt or dust remains on floors, floor mats, or runners, in corners, behind doors, or underneath furniture and equipment. The contractor shall not place chairs on tables at any time.The contractor shall spot clean floors to remove food spills and debris as they occur.Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and silverware, kitchen and dining areas in accordance with FDA Food Code 2022 and local Standard of Practice. May be responsible for maintaining documentation, such as dish machine temperature logs or sanitizer testing.Shall support the government by complying with a recycling program. May be responsible for collecting trash and recycling in multiple areas and taking items to designated areas for disposal.
Basic Hiring Criteria:Experience managing food service in a similar environment (hospital, long-term care facility) is important to ensure the personnel understand the specific needs and challenges of the operation.ServSafe Manager Certified.Experience in specialized services such as managing dietary restrictions.Leadership and communication skills - Experience with overseeing operations, managing staff, and communicating in a professional and efficient manner.OIG Comparison: Proof Candidate has been compared to the HHS OIG Exclusion List.Contactor must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
