Job DescriptionWash, peel, and cut of fruits and vegetables per the preparation schedule.Prepare, cook or pan food as per prep scheduleCount, weigh and measure ingredients for assigned food production areaStore food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation proceduresPortion meal trays and special diet trays as per meal scheduleLoad, deliver, collect and unload meal service carts to the podsPerform general cleaning duties including carts, trolleys, dishes and pots.Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly mannerWork efficiently and handle all equipment and products safelyCash register operations and meal ticket procedures.Perform other duties during off-service hours as required.Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management in a suitable timeframe

QualificationsGrade 12, or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceMust pass and maintain a clean criminal recordPossess a Food Safe level 1 certificate or provincial equivalentAbility to communicate effectively both written and verbal in the English languagePhysical ability to perform all job-related tasksAbility to operate all related equipmentMust have excellent interpersonal skills, and organizational skillsMust practice good personal hygieneMust be able to effectively give and receive instructions
