Food Service Worker - Fairfield Public Schools Nutrition

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for making and serving nutritious meals for students in a safe and healthful manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Performs all duties assigned daily by the cafeteria manager or cook (food prep, washing dishes, putting stock away, serving students on the serving lines, cleaning equipment, stocking lines (food & beverage), etc.).
• Prepares and serves food according to menus and recipes and in correct portion sizes as mandated by portion and yield guides.
• Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing.
• Complies with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling.
• Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines.
• Complies with all safe food handling guidelines, HACCP.
• Checks and stores incoming supplies.
• Follows assigned break schedules.
• Attends all mandatory in-service programs.
• Manages POS/cash handling if applicable for position.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Always adheres to all Whitsons policies and procedures (Attendance, Uniform, Cell Phone, Break, etc.)
• Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons.
• Complies with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned, whatever tasks the manager assigns to you for the day is your daily duties.
