Food Services Coordinator
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose:** Coordinate high-quality, nutritionally appropriate food services for diverse populations, including patients, visitors, and staff. Support the Food & Nutrition Services Manager by managing costs within the approved budget while enhancing culinary operations. **What You Will Do:** **Oversee culinary operations, focusing on patient and retail services.** + Collaborate with cooks to refine menus and recipes; contribute to regional menu development. + Manage food preparation and service, ensuring compliance with policies and sanitation standards. + Order and oversee food supplies within budget guidelines. + Maintain detailed records, including meal counts and departmental documentation. + Train and mentor food service staff while addressing inquiries. + Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Trinity Health policies. **Hours/Schedule:** Full-time: 64 hours per pay period (.8 FTE). Weekend and holiday rotations required. Flexible shifts between 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM. **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Required:** ServSafe Certification; formal training or experience in large-scale institutional food production. + **Preferred:** Completion of a 90-hour food service supervisor course and six months of supervisory experience. + Strong communication, decision-making, and clerical skills. **Position Highlights and Benefits:** At MercyOne, we care about your well-being.
