GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for working in a team environment to meet the demands of preparing and serving approximately 500 meals and snacks daily. Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and established procedures for food preparation while applying safe food guidelines.
The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45-minute drive from the world-famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. There are concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City. The area surrounding Evanston is excellent for recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
+ With the Food Services Assistant's assistance, directs, coordinates, prepares, and supervises food preparation for meals within the menu's guidelines, dietary requirements, appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation standards.
+ Trains workers in safety and sanitation.
+ Prepares all religious and medically necessary diets and substitutions as needed.
+ Directs the portioning and serving of all meals.
+ Oversees distribution of bulk food and pre-plated meals.
+ Ensures that health guidelines are met in the daily preparation of food.
+ Manages inventory and reviews daily on all items.
+ Completes daily inventories of knives, controlled food items, and tools.
+ Observe and record food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to individuals with dietary cooking experience.
Preference may be given to individuals with previous supervisory experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge of kitchens and warehouses.
+ Knowledge of food service equipment operation.
+ Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and universal knowledge of inventory tracking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
OR
Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Culinary Arts)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Ability to lift, carry, and push 50 pounds.
+ Will be required to drive a delivery truck.
+ Work evenings and weekends
NOTES:
+ FLSA: Non-Exempt
+ Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
+ A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
+ A current Influenza Vaccination is required.
