We are seeking a Food Services Worker to join our team in a fulltime position.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver trays to patients and family members in a kind and timely mannerCafeteria set-up and service; receiving, cashiering; delivery food carts or late trays, dish or pot washingAssisting with catered events and other related department activitiesProcesses diet orders from the order entry systemAssists patients in their menu selections, either by phone or in personAccurately calculates dietsParticipates in patient tray making certain that all diets are assembled correctlyKeeps a correct tally of patient meal counts, production sheets, and outgoing nourishmentsWhen assigned, assumes responsibility for catering, including delivery and proper set upWhen assigned, balances the cafeteria cash drawerMay be required to open and close the Nutritional Services DepartmentOther food and nutrition department related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferredFood Handler's Permit Required within 30 days of hireHospital experience or experience in a large commercial kitchen highly desiredPrefer quantity food production experienceAbility to follow instructions and work independently with little or no supervisionStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks wellAbility to work productively in a team settingBasic understanding of normal and therapeutic diets and food safetyBasic computer skillsGood communication, both written and oralAbility to handle stressful situations calmly and effectivelyCommitment to excellent customer service
