**Job Summary** Responsible for serving cafeteria customers in a pleasant and efficient manner. Maintains food in attractive manner on serving line. Serves food in proper portions using sanitary methods. Rings sales on cash register using appropriate prices. Clears cash register and counts receipts. Re-stocks supplies and cleans area after each meal. Maintains cafeteria in a clean and orderly manner. **Essential Functions** + Properly and accurately operate cash register. + Thoroughly restock all café retail and condiment items. + Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures. + Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. + Maintains cleanliness of the work areas, making sure areas are not cluttered with product and soiled pans. Sets up serving line, making sure temperatures are taken, recorded, and within acceptable ranges; and that correct utensils are used. Notifies the chef if food temperatures are not within acceptable limits. Serves hot and cold items from serving line to customers. + Stocks all pantries with correct par levels of food items on a daily basis. Records replenished amounts on floor stock form for each unit. Records refrigerator temperatures on floor stock form on a daily basis.
