Shamrock Farms Food Technologist will be responsible for working with the Product Development Manager on developing and implementing new branded and private label product concepts, line extensions and product enhancements as well as maintaining high-quality standards for the current product portfolio.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nWork with product development team on all aspects of the product development process from concept development through commercialization\nManage external vendors by providing leadership on project briefs and formula creation\nResearch and monitor product and industry trends to aid in new product development\nParticipate in the ideation and testing of new product concepts\nManage industry product cuttings to benchmark current products against the competitive set \nTake lead on annual benchmarking of products produced including presenting findings and investigating issues\nWork with product development manager to create product “gold” standards to be used for training\nWork closely with Operations and Quality teams by observing and troubleshooting product batching, processing, and bottling\nAssist with label reviews and FDA regulations as defined by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO)\nAnnual regulatory reviews including WIC, Bottle Redemption, and Post Consumer Recyclability \n Maintain internal product specifications and annual documentation reviews pertaining to product portfolio\nAct as technical resource with Sales and Brand teams for all product lines\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:
\n\nBachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, microbiology, food chemistry or related field and 1-2 years’ experience in food ad beverage product development\n\nCorporate Summary:
