Shamrock Farms Food Technologist will be responsible for working with the Product Development Manager on developing and implementing new branded and private label product concepts, line extensions and product enhancements as well as maintaining high-quality standards for the current product portfolio.

Essential Duties: 

Work with product development team on all aspects of the product development process from concept development through commercialization Manage external vendors by providing leadership on project briefs and formula creation Research and monitor product and industry trends to aid in new product development Participate in the ideation and testing of new product concepts Manage industry product cuttings to benchmark current products against the competitive set  Take lead on annual benchmarking of products produced including presenting findings and investigating issues Work with product development manager to create product “gold” standards to be used for training Work closely with Operations and Quality teams by observing and troubleshooting product batching, processing, and bottling Assist with label reviews and FDA regulations as defined by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) Annual regulatory reviews including WIC, Bottle Redemption, and Post Consumer Recyclability   Maintain internal product specifications and annual documentation reviews pertaining to product portfolio Act as technical resource with Sales and Brand teams for all product lines Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, microbiology, food chemistry or related field and 1-2 years’ experience in food ad beverage product development
