POSITION SUMMARY:Assist the Research & Development team with new product development, research projects, sensory evaluations, and maintenance of existing products.RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilize basic cooking skills and techniques to prepare food products.Accurately weigh and measure items and ingredients used to perform responsibilities.Follow written and oral directions to successfully complete assigned tasks.Prepare samples for internal and external customer reviews, using established procedures.Operate a variety of laboratory and kitchen equipment.Maintain clean and organized work environment.Adjust formulations as instructed by Food Scientist.Operate with moderate independence on daily assignments, refer questions and decisions to others, as needed.Use basic computer skills including the effective use of Microsoft Office.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices when working in lab and production settings.Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma, GED, or other applicable document.Associates or Culinary Degree preferred0-3 years work experience in the food industry, restaurant kitchen, or similar laboratory environmentAbility to lift 25 to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to several hours.Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
