In this position...
Lead engineer on key new Ford Performance engine program and supporting engineer on existing programs to deliver exciting new products that enhance the Ford Performance portfolio.

You'll have...

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering 2 yrs of demonstrated results in component Design and Release required, with experience at different phases of the product lifecycle 2 yrs familiarity with Ford PD systems and processes including: GPDS, WERS, FEDEBOM, FEDE, Teamcenter, etc. OR equivalent Excellent written and oral presentation skills  Strong knowledge of engine systems and how they interface with the PT & vehicle systems Experience with vehicle manufacturing launch and prototype processes  Self-starter with ability to deliver results and overcome obstacles Tremendous flexibility and willingness to learn new technology and processes

Preferred  Qualifications

Master's of Science in Engineering or equivalent Familiarity with CAD tools desired

What you'll do...

Position Responsibilities

Lead Systems Engineer on a new engine program  Lead interface w/ Powertrain Manufacturing Team requiring experience with documentation on how to communicate with counterparts such as 543 build charts, 1271 vehicle operations build charts, etc. Experience with FMEA’s and cascading to requirement to significant characteristics for product and manufacturing teams (SCCAF) -2D Matrix requirements and understanding thereof for product & manufacturing engineering Lead/Support production release (WERS – Ford Worldwide Engineering Release System)  or equivalent thereof Lead PMT Engineering requirements, including FEDE, GPDS, program timing, milestones, finance/cost approvals, change control, service strategy, etc.  Ability to write and communicate program status in engine program reviews Ability to handle prototype build teams Ability to communicate with cross function vehicle teams Ability to communicate with cross functional purchasing teams and co-lead approval of sourcing and other supplier actions Can do attitude to keep engine program timing on track, including part ordering, tracking, rework and hands on support at build sites Prepare documents (SOW's etc) and submit and follow through the system approvals
