Forecast Planning and Inventory Management

Role Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to utilize data analytics and forecasting techniques to optimize inventory levels at our Quick Response Centers and Distribution Centers globally; analyzing production data, identifying trends, and developing production plans and forecasts for Flow Control Division Services and Solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analytics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of forecasting, planning processes and management of inventory levels.

Location: This person can be located at any Flowserve location within the US. Will require to visit our QRCs, making local and international travels (2 weeks per month for the first 9 months at least).

This role supports work flexibility (hybrid).

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with defined team to extract and analyze data to determine what inventory is needed in each Regional Distribution Center to support that region with recommended stocking levels.  Load and maintain forecasts in the ERP system.  Regularly review and update forecasts based on changes in demand or other relevant factors.Optimizes Work Processes: Collaborate with QRC/DC team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance planning and process efficiencies with a focus on continuous improvement.  Equip sites to handle day-to-day tasks effectively.  Integrate systems to improve quality and service.Support site PWC objectives by leveraging inventory management opportunities and regular maintenance of inventory planning parameters.Strategically review current processes and align with current and future business needs in the QRC’s and Distribution Centers based on projected growth.Data load solutions for large updates.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in forecasting, planning and data analytics.Advocates and supports the Flowserve performance culture and ensures that performance is actively differentiated and managed within the business unit or function.Communicates effectively with the full range of internal stakeholders—from associates to leadership— and ensures that programs, processes and initiatives within the business unit or function are communicated in a clear and effective manner. Requirements:

10 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on planning, forecasting, supply chain, inventory management or equivalent experienceStrong background in data analysis and spreadsheetsProficient with MS Office products and Excel (V-Look Up, Pivot Tables, Charts).Hands-on experience in ERP systems, Oracle (preferred) and/or SAPUnderstanding of forecasting techniquesStrong attention to detail, follow-up and follow-throughProject Management – applies a disciplined process for planning, organizing, and controlling work.Planning - develops effective plans to support long-term business objectives as well as day-to-day planning activities.Demonstrates effective influencing and collaboration skills.Strong communication skills; able to communicate with diverse groups and individuals at all levels across different locations and functions. Good business judgment and problem-solving skills with solid economic, industry and competitive landscape insight.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from complex data sets.Proven experience in production planning or a related role, with a strong focus on data analytics and forecastingTravel is required.

Preferred experience/ skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related area.Professional certification in Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or Supply Chain Management (CSCP)
