Foreign Military Sales InternThis Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Intern position is an excellent way to gain real-world experiences in the technical analysis support for the acquisition planning, controlling and organizing of an FMS Program. As an intern, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams engaged in strategic initiatives and will obtain industry and functional knowledge and experience for future career marketability. The selected candidate will work on wide-ranging tasks such as scheduling and preparing for briefings and meetings and maintaining program files. They will become familiar with all areas of FMS to include development of acquisition planning and coordination of requirements for Letter of Request (LOR), the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), and Price and Available (P&A). Additional tasks include:
Assist in tracking project milestones and deliverablesConduct research into project-related issues to become familiar with guidelines as outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Security Assistance Management Manual.Perform work assignments linked to team/project goalsAssist in gathering and documenting information required by program or project managers and provide daily administrative support with minimal or no assistanceAssist in evaluating implications of existing or proposed projects, programs and processesKey Accountabilities
Self-starter, with strong attention to detailOrganize and prioritize work assignments on a daily basis, raising questions and issues in a timely mannerPerform functions efficiently within scope of authority as defined by the project managerParticipate and collaborate with others on team projectsMinimum Education & Experience Requirements
Actively pursuing a undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between the winter of the current academic year and the summer of the following academic yearProficiency in Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.The ideal candidate is able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
