Position Summary

The Foreman oversees renovation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role is responsible for managing budget variances, supervising field crews, and maintaining quality control and project timelines. The Foreman holds Crew Members accountable for delivering accurate, timely work and prioritizes safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions 

Supervise, train, and coach a team of Crew MembersLead the development of rehabilitation homes assignedProactively identify potential issues with the home that could impact the property’s value.Handle renovation projects at multiple properties.Strategize with the Project Manager to understand priority tasks and timeline completionCommunicate any potential adjustments or hurdles to overcome in order to complete the task accurately and timelyConduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention or repair.Assess job significance and assign Crew Members to appropriate job site tasksPrioritize and document repairs per policy and standard operating procedureEnsure safety precautions are followed and updating safety kits on a needed basisFacilitate weekly job site safety meetings and record action items for future reference

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of single family/residential construction experienceResidential remodeling, construction, and maintenance experienceKnowledge of codes, municipal by-laws, inspection, estimating, and planningGeneral knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVACMust have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportationRequires working outside and inside structures at times without HVAC. Strong organization skills, accurate, and detail-orientedStrong work ethic, ability to learn quickly and adapt to changeExcellent communication (oral and written) skillsAbility to take initiative and work independently to establish and manage work priorities, activities and timelines to achieve resultsExhibits sound judgment and swift decision-making skillsExhibit strong attention to detailAbility to think creatively and come up with solutionsAbility to critically review, summarize, and report findings and recommendationsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
