Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Foreman to join our Qld Construction team.  While we hire for the long term, initially you will be based on our Woodford Youth Detention Centre project within a supportive and highly experienced team.

This role will be responsible for:

Organising on a daily and weekly basis the sequencing of on-site activities, including the co-ordination of materials, equipment and personnel.In consultation with the Site Manager, allocating necessary site staff and resources and ensuring that all the resources for the project are available when required.Reviewing the construction programme with the Site Manager, re-sequencing activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.Ensuring that the Company's policies and practices on safety, industrial relations and quality assurance are implemented at the work face.Ensuring compliance with standards and contract documents.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require:

Qualifications in building/construction, or a trade qualification in a construction related field.Demonstrated success supervising the delivery of commercial or industrial building projects within time, cost and quality requirements.Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
