What you’ll do as a Power Foreman + You will oversee lower classifications by coordinating and assigning tasks, monitoring work, training and mentoring. + You will monitor safety and productivity of crewmembers. + You will conduct safety tailgate meetings with crew and completing required paperwork. + You will be responsible for construction, installation, maintenance and replacement of poles, anchors, crossarms, pins, cut-outs, and other Overhead pole components. + You will be responsible for installation, maintenance and replacement of transformers, reclosers, capacitors, regulators, step-downs and other Overhead pole equipment. + You will inspect lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear. + You will carry poles, dig holes, frame and guy poles and perform other operations involved in the setting or replacing of poles. + You will troubleshoot electrical problems and perform emergency repairs on distribution circuits. + You will set up and operate wire tensioners, rope rigs, and other wire stringing equipment. + You will be responsible for efficient and proper use of all tools, materials, and equipment. + You will operate, inspect, and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavation equipment, and other equipment. + You will read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, schedules, and scopes of work. What you’ll need + You are18 years of age or older + You are authorized to work in the United States for this company + You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience + You are authorized to work in the United States for this company + You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent + You have the willingness to work in a solo and team environment + You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather + You are a self starter + You have effective communication skills + You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed + You have 5+ year's of experience in power construction + You have the ability to lift and/or pull up to 25lbs Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
