Forensics Manager (Corporate Intelligence)
As a Forensics Corporate Intelligence Manager, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs by helping them identify, mitigate, and respond to fraud, regulations, litigation, and other issues so that they can take rapid protective action, restore confidence, and get back to creating value within the Forensics Advisory Services Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Risk team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include: + Consult on large and complex investigations and/or business disputes and provide valuable intelligence and clarity to counsel during all stages of engagement, from case theory development and discovery to expert witness testimony + Run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, organizing, conducting, directing, and completing FAS projects and services and managing projects to budget + Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and become a trusted business partner + Serve as consultant to corporate decision makers and attorneys, collecting and analyzing open-source, publicly available data to provide context for client records, uncover material fact patterns, discover and/or identify relevant relationships, and examine substantive claims in complex disputes or inquiries related to potential conflicts of interest, bribery, corruption, collusion, extortion and/or fraud; identifying, locating, and evaluating assets across multiple jurisdictions, mapping key networks and pathways of transfer, and helping shape the strategy for successful and efficient asset recovery; supporting accurate assessments of the integrity of business relationships by developing intelligence about the background, conduct, operations and reputations of current or contemplated business partners; and conducting research to provide risk-focused information responsive to unique business needs + Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects, assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews + Actively participate in recruiting top talent to the firm, including conducting interviews on campus and/or for experienced candidates + Attend professional development and networking events + Perform data and document intensive financial analysis, conduct research and investigative data analysis + Work closely with engagement teams, manage and conduct forensic accounting procedures on multiple engagements concurrently + Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, other thought leadership material, identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities + Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management + Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work and meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization) + Work closely with Senior Managers, Managing Directors, and Principals to promptly identify and resolve client issues + Other duties as assigned You have the following technical skills and qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or related field degree required + Industry recognized professional certifications required, CPA, CFE, CMA, CFA, CCA, or CIA preferred + Proficiency in more than one language, including the ability to perform research in and translate effectively from the additional language(s) into English, Portuguese or Spanish required, French, Mandarin, Russian, and/or Arabic optional + Forensic, investigation, litigation support and/or regulatory compliance experience + Strong computer skills, including experience with a variety of specialist database and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, advanced filtering techniques, and complex Boolean search logic, additional to proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite + Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail + Ability to work on multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast paced, results-based team environment + Exceptional client service and communication skills + Can travel as needed The base salary range for this position in the firm's New York, NY office is between $129,600 to $194,400.
