DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role involves overseeing personnel involved in wildland fire operations. The primary objective of this position is to manage staff who are responsible for various aspects of wildland fire management, including the suppression of wildfires, prevention strategies, investigative activities related to fire incidents, and the execution of prescribed burning practices. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + Overtime: May be required for such work as wildfire suppression, training, and travel + Travel: Will be required for training, meetings, and for wildland fire assignments. + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an ad-hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Four seasons of experience in fire suppression and pre-suppression work, and graduation from high school, or certification of equivalent training; or + Any combination of education and experience which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skill, and abilities.
