Job Description

Our Belleville manufacturing site is seeking highly motivated, reliable and flexible individuals with a commitment to safety and total quality to be part of our diverse operating teams.

Fork truck Associates are hired into an entry level position with a guaranteed 84 hours every 2 weeks. Fork truck Associates are responsible for keeping production flowing in their area, for meeting performance goals, following safe practices, and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.

Key Responsibilities includes:

Operate various types of lift trucks throughout the facility (training provided).Pick and move pallets based on production orders.Load and unload materials from trailers.Utilize inventory control software to track the movement of materials and finished goods accurately.Move materials by hand as needed to support operations.Interact with autonomously guided vehicles to enhance workflow efficiency.Occasionally hand stack cases of finished products as required.Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete the required forms.Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Fork truck associates are paid a competitive wage starting at 17.75 per hour plus a $3.20 shift premium for the 24/7 rapid rotation. This position includes Retirement Pension Plan after 1 year of employment and eligible for a Health Spending account.

Job Qualifications

Must hold a valid G2 or higher Ontario Driver’s LicenseEnsure you are including your detailed education and work experience in your resume.Willingness to work rotating shift which are: 7 day/12 hour, days and nights; rapid rotation; receiving 84 hours every 2 weeks.Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required; training will be provided.Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory control software.Ability to lift heavy objects (40 lbs) and perform physical tasks.Comfortable remaining seated for up to four consecutive hours.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions.Willingness to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, eye protection which are provided by the company.Ability to work individually or in a team.
