We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Forklift Operator in Ark City, KS.

 

SHIFT: 3rd Shift 10pm-6amWe operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week.   This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime. 

Job Summary

Our Forklift Drivers receive, select, store and load products and/or materials.  Safely operate all material handling equipment.  Accurately complete all associated paper work and maintain clean work area consistent with company standards.

 

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $16.00-$17.00 + .50 shift differential when worked.

General Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

 

1. Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor, continuously picks, lifts, carries and places product into a pallet to accurately build customer orders in various temperature environments. Moves product into a trailer or storage unit, is responsible for visually inspecting incoming and outgoing warehouse products to determine acceptability for shipment and/or receiving of product. 

 

2. Reads labels and or printing on product containers and associated documents. Counts and calculates quantity of product to verify accuracy of shipment.

 

3. Must be able to consistently meet company safety, accuracy and productivity standards. Steps into the driving position and uses full range of peripheral vision to operate a forklift or pallet jack in an accident free manner. 

 

4. Uses brooms, mops and other cleaning materials (including solvents and soaps) to clean work area.  Completes any other functions that may be assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School / GED required2-3 years’ experience or equivalent employment.Specialized training in forklift operations (6months to a 1yr experience).

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally carry up to 100 feet. The employee is occasionally required to climb up and down stairs/steps. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to various allergens.
