It actively seeks opportunities for improvement to ensure maximum company performance. It works with other team members to create and maintain a safe, organized working environment/culture that meets/exceeds MAT HD—Rome facility standards and customer expectations. Principle Responsibilities + Performs daily safety inspection of forklift before operating to ensure safety. + Takes proper safety and precautionary measures when operating machinery. + Supports essential logistic operations through storage and transportation. + Notifies technicians in advance when forklifts are in need of service. + Performs work under direct supervision with a basic understanding of equipment. + Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. + Operate hand-held scanner and stretch-wrap machine. + Comply with all company safety guidelines and procedures. + Maintain a clean work environment. + Other duties assigned by manager/supervisor + High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  + Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. + Good communication skills (listening, verbal, and written). + Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical concepts. + Must have or be able to receive license to operate forklift. Two years forklift experience is preferred. + Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. + Must be willing to submit to background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
