The OpportunitySafely operate forklifts to receive incoming drums and deliveries, ensuring adherence to receiving segregation guidelines
Key Responsibilities Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Unload incoming trailers and verify piece count Place or locate material in proper staging/storage areas Complete compliance requirements such as overpack, negative drum integrity, aisle spacing, stable stacking, and generator labels visibility Identify waste streams of incoming inventory and segregate by DOT standards Perform daily inspections on the forklifts Complete weight sheets, off-specs, and end of shift reports Prepare material for processing operations and perform processing operations as needed Accurately track drum storage and handle movements on tracking sheets as needed Assist taking samples from Drums as needed Simple maintenance activities such as cleaning and adding fluids Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience One year of hazardous waste industry experience is desirable Working knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations a plus One year forklift experience The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for Ability to work on-site as described in the job description Ability to read, write, and understand English Physical Requirements Walking Standing Crawling Kneeling Lifting Reaching Pushing Pulling
