Forklift Operator

Production Associate with Forklift Experience 

 The Production Associate / Forklift Driver operates manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line and is also responsible for transporting all finished goods from the assembly line to the warehouse.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducts basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently. Operates and monitors assigned lines, materials, and finished products as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation. Coordinates the movement of products from the production lines to the skids. Transports packaged ice from bagging room and stacks ice in warehouse after bundling into pallets. Audits inventory to ensure accurate loading/unloading of stock shipped and received. Accountable for assisting in bagging room area to keep operations running smoothly. Cleans maintenance area to ensure compliant with all regulations and policies. Displays and supports safe dock practices and implements them in conjunction with drivers. Examines product for quality and ensures all Food Safety Handling Procedures are followed. Records daily logs of packages, bags, and wasted packaging material. Inspects date codes for accuracy and legibility. Adopts a culture of cleanliness and safety in the work environment. Additional duties may be assigned.

 

Candidate Qualifications:

Experience working in a production environment is considered an asset. 1 Years’ experience in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. repeatedly. Comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Must be able to work in a cold environment. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
