What We Offer $18.00 an hour 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED (preferred) Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment as a forklift operator Successful completion of a driver assessment Valid forklift certification in compliance with OSHA standards Strong sense of balance and excellent eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to accurately assess weights and judge distances and heights Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to execute assignments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to daily duties in a fast-paced environment Extensive experience with slip sheeting techniques What You’ll Do as a Forklift Operator Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs), standard pallet jacks, and other equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials Manually unload incoming products from container trucks, palletize, and shrink-wrap loads as needed Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow warehouse and forklift safety rules, quality standards, and procedures Follow daily work instructions provided by the team lead, supervisor, or manager Conduct daily equipment checks (e.g., changing tanks, recharging batteries, lubricating equipment) and perform preventative sanitization of forklift high-touch areas before operation Safely load and unload materials, ensuring secure transportation between storage areas, machines, loading docks, and trucks Inspect palletized loads to verify compliance with quality standards and ensure secure stacking prior to PIT operation Manually unload and organize products from containers onto pallets, preparing shipments according to customer requirements Identify and address quality non-conformances (e.g., damaged pallets, misaligned boxes) and ensure proper adjustments before shrink-wrapping loads Label pallets designated for shipment in the shipping area as needed Stack empty pallets and organize materials appropriately within the warehouse Perform routine housekeeping tasks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and follow detailed housekeeping expectations Complete other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
