Hours: 6:45 am - 7:00 pm / 6:45 pm - 7:00 am - 4 days on/ 4 days off

Location: Plant City, FL

While reporting to the Supervisor, as a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment.  Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Ensuring safety: Following safety guidelines including documentation or inspections and wearing safety gear like gloves and safety glasses.Transport raw material from and to storage or WIP areas with or without manufacturing equipment.Shelving, stacking, or loading where needed.Removing trash, scrap or unnecessary items from work area or as instructed by leadership.Collaborate with Data Clerk, Coordinators, Process Techs or Supervisors for warehousing duties.Entering and keeping correct data information into an ERP system and daily paperwork.   Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Keep area clean and organize.

We’d love to hear from you if:

You have at least 2 years’ experience with warehouse, shipping and/or forklift operations Proficient in computers, Oracle, or another WMS experience a plus Ability to work fast paced with a high level of accuracy  Operates with a safety-first mentality
