Start your new career as a Forklift Operator with MAU at our client in Atlanta, GA. As a Forklift Operator, you will handle all department transactions, including inspecting and unloading incoming materials, preparing and loading outbound shipments, processing parcels, generating shipping paperwork, updating records in the system, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
What We Offer: $19.50 per hour Monday to Friday | 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in shipping, receiving, or logistics operations Experience operating sit-down and high-lift forklifts; certification preferred Strong understanding of standard shipping and receiving procedures Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in basic math skills Strong knowledge of data systems, including MS365 (required) and ERP systems (SAP preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently, with occasional sitting Capability to lift and move up to 70 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs with assistance Required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment What You’ll Do as a Forklift Operator: Receive and process both inventoried and non-inventoried materials in accordance with plant work instructions Accurately prepare and stage customer orders based on pick lists, ensuring proper loading onto various truck types and processing shipments in SAP Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Shipping & Receiving warehouse, loading docks, and outside storage areas at all times Adhere to all occupational safety, health policies, and Quality System procedures Utilize SAP to print pick lists, BOLs, and PO reports; process shipments and deliveries; and retrieve purchase orders, orders, and shipment details as needed Use a personal computer to track scheduled shipments via the CH Robinson website Prepare and process parcel shipments efficiently using UPS software Collaborate with customer service, carriers, and offsite warehouses to ensure timely deliveries and shipments Coordinate the pickup of scrap materials, including pallets, plastics, totes, and waste dumpsters Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
