Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a distribution warehouse setting and be proficient in operating sit-down forklifts. Responsibilities include picking orders, RF scanning, and performing general shipping and receiving tasks.
ResponsibilitiesPick orders off racksUse RF scanning devicesOperate sit-down forklifts (Propane Forklift experience preferred)Perform 70% forklift operations and 30% general shipping and receiving tasksShrink wrap and break down palletsLoad trucksEnsure the exact quantity and type of product is prepared and pulledFollow directions and procedures accuratelyMaintain quality standards for shipped productsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisionEssential SkillsMinimum of 1 year experience in a distribution warehouseProficient in RF scan gun usageAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExperience in loading 53' trailersKnowledge of WMS systemsExperience with 2-prong forkliftsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrior shipping experienceAbility to lift pallet weights up to 2500 pounds within 15’ rack positionsFood handling experience is a plusReliable transportationWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse and distribution center. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
