**Job Title: Forklift Drive** **r** 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift **Pay** : $20.50/hr **Job Description:** We are looking for experienced and reliable Forklift Drivers to join our team at a fast-paced food production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for operating an electric forklift to safely load and unload finished products, bulk products, fiber, and other materials. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate inventory management and maintaining an efficient and safe environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Safely operate forklifts to move finished products from the production lines to the distribution building. + Pick orders for shipment and stage them correctly. + Stack and retrieve bulk products as needed. + Utilize Turn-a-Fork and slip sheet attachments to optimize efficiency. + Operate manual and automatic dock plates safely. + Secure trailers by using the glad-hand lock system and chocking trailers when necessary. + Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe food handling practices. + Collaborate with fellow forklift operators and supervisors to ensure smooth product movement. + Assist the Distribution Group Leader with loading outbound shipments. + Use RF scanners for product tracking and movement. + Safely change lift truck batteries. + Ensure the highest quality of finished products is maintained. + Report any food safety, health & safety, or quality concerns and take appropriate action. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills:** + Proven experience operating a forklift. + Familiarity with order selection and picking. + Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly. + Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment. + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-hour shifts). **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience with inventory management systems. + Proficiency in material handling, loading, picking, and operating pallet jacks. + Experience with sit-down and stand-up forklifts. + Proficient in using RF scanners. + Experience in shipping and receiving operations. **Why Work Here?** + Enjoy opportunities for growth and career advancement, with training provided for roles like machine operating, quality control, and maintenance. + Be part of a small, friendly, and supportive team environment. + Work for a stable company with consistent work throughout the year. **Work Environment:** + Clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled facility. + Work in a food manufacturing environment that prioritizes safety and quality. **Job Type & Location:** + Contract to Hire position. + Location: Brockport, New York. _If you are an experienced forklift operator who values safety, efficiency, and teamwork, we encourage you to apply and become a key member of our team!_ **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
