**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Position:** Forklift Operator **Pay Rate:** $17.00/hour **Shift:** Day Shift Schedule Options: *** **_(May not be an option, you may be assigned one of the two depending on availability)***_** Monday - Thursday: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM / Friday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM / Weekends OFF Monday - Thursday: 6:15 AM - 4:45 PM / Friday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM / Weekends OFF **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure the efficient and safe handling of products, adhering to all safety guidelines and operating instructions. **Responsibilities** + Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. + Read and apply accurate labels to products. + Measure and weigh materials accurately. + Lift and handle containers such as 5-gallon pails up to 75 lbs., 60 lb. bags of pigment, and maneuver drums up to 900 lbs. + Maintain arm-hand steadiness to keep your arm or hand steady during operations. + Possess near vision to read labels and see details up close. + Work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. + Commit to safety leadership and maintain a strong safety presence. + Climb stairs while wearing steel-toed footwear. + Work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, and inclement weather. + Work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents. + Stand or walk for long periods of time. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines. + Ability to pass a forklift test and obtain forklift certification. + Proficient in operating a forklift efficiently and effectively. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to lift and handle heavy materials. + Effective multi-tasking and priority-balancing skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing, production, and quality control. + Willingness to be cross-trained and assist in various production processes. + Experience with paint, lacquer, fill off, production operator, pumps, tanks, and batch operations. + Excellent attendance record. **Why Work Here?** Join a great team environment where everyone works together towards the same goal.
