Forklift Operator
The Forklift Line Operator job is a high capacity position that requires the operator to be alert and aware of their surroundings always. As a growing and changing company, it is essential that the employees be flexible, capable of performing a variety of functions and adaptable to changes. **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** NY Medina **Job Type:** Production Group **Job Posting Title:** Forklift Operator **Job Description:** **Schedule** : 2nd Shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm with overtime and weekends as required **Work Location:** 4001 Salt Works Road, Medina, NY 14 **Benefits:** Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness.​ **Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** $20.00 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Differential* Sign on bonus of $300 after 6 months and $300 after 9 months (attendance and probationary policies apply). **Roles & Responsibilities:** + At start of the shift or at any time that may be necessary verify that the forklift equipment to be used is functioning properly and safely; fill out a Forklift Inspection Checklist. + Remove pallets of finished product from the manufacturing areas; record the number of cases on a Pull Sheet. + Place finished product into storage on a first in first out rotation basis. If there is more than one partial pallet, re-palletize so that earlier code dates will be shipped first. + Stage and load orders as required on a Bill of Lading. Prior to loading any trailer or truck, audit for sanitation, infestation or damages; record on a Trailer Inspection Report, report any discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor. + Receive, inspect, and place into storage raw material. Prior to unloading any raw material inspect trailer and product for infestation and sanitation. Very quantities received against Bill of Lading. Report any discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor. + Date all raw material received with receipt date and place into inventory on a first in first out rotation basis. + Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), comply with food safety practices, maintain good housekeeping, follow proper sanitation at all times. + Report to the Warehouse Manager any accidents, witnessed or involved in. + Bring to the attention of the Production Supervisor and Warehouse Manager any problems with equipment, damage to the facility or safety hazards. + Follow safety and emergency standards at all times, and notify Warehouse Manager of any hazards. + Perform any other duties as required by the Warehouse Manager. + Follow company policies and procedures always + Operate and keep auto palletizer supplied and running. + Support production through the timely supply of materials + Other duties as assigned. + All employees are responsible for following Plant Safety, SQF, FSMA, Food Safety-HACCP, GMP, Food Quality, Food Defense and Food Fraud policies and programs at all times, as well as reporting any issues – discrepancies immediately. **Skills:** + Must have or immediately obtain upon job award certification to use all powered industrial vehicles. + Ability to use SAP + Must be able to work with minimal supervision + Team player + Job ownership + Problem solving skills + Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) + Maintain GMP’s and safety standards at all times + Basic math skills. + Ability to work overtime as needed. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must be 18+ years old + Must be a Treehouse Foods employee + Six months of production experience + High School diploma or equivalent required **EEO Statement:** Winland Foods seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool, and as a global company we believe our success is enhanced by fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
