**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** This role involves off-loading and on-loading all goods from containers using a propane SDCB forklift. You will spend approximately 80% of your shift operating the forklift in a busy and fast-paced environment, navigating tight quarters safely and efficiently. The products you'll handle vary in shape and size and can be very heavy, requiring experience with freight. You'll use paper shipping documents initially and transition to complex digital shipping software within the next few months. **Work Environment** You will be working in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation environment with numerous incoming and outgoing trucks. The facility is very busy with forklifts moving at a fast but safe pace. You will be working with approximately 50 operators per shift, handling a wide variety of products from fridges to tires. The dress code requires steel-toed boots. Shifts are from Monday to Friday, 3 pm-11 pm, with overtime required on Fridays. The facility has over 50 doors on the dock, where products are staged. **Responsibilities** + Operate a propane SDCB forklift to load and unload freight from containers. + Navigate tight quarters safely and efficiently. + Handle various shapes and sizes of freight. + Use paper shipping documents and transition to digital shipping software. + Move small to large shipments. + Ensure products are correctly loaded and unloaded. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 1 year experience operating a SDCB forklift in an LTL environment. + Valid forklift certification. + Good computer skills. + Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2-5 years of experience in LTL. + Leadership experience. + Experience with Truck mate software. + Ability to work independently and take initiative. + Comfortable with shop talk. + Good English communication skills. **Why Work Here?** We offer growth opportunities with 3% wage growth every year, an annual bonus, and a $200 boot allowance.
