Plasma Material Handling Operator II
2nd Shift 1:30pm – 12:00am

Summary:
This position is the point of contact for plasma operations at the Plasma Logistics Center where the incumbent receives raw materials (plasma) from donor centers and controls the flow of materials until they are sent for fractionation. As a skilled specialist using the Plasma Management System (SGP), this position supports Supply Chain related projects, provides guidance to peers, and trains/coaches department employees. This position is responsible for controlling raw material inventory throughout receipt, classification, and distribution and is able to handle plasma types from all suppliers, going to all customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible to unload plasma shipments, identify and sort types of plasma, and enter receipts into the Plasma Management System (SGP)
2. Accurately inspect and receive ocean containers to ensure compliance and reduce the potential of product damage
3. Inspect equipment for damage and determine suitability for further use in production (crates, pallets)
4. Use Radio Frequency Terminal (RFT) equipment to control and monitor the movements of inventory within all freezer and warehouse locations.
5. Locate plasma by verifying and pulling material from freezer work orders
6. Complete Production Processing work order, plasma reception and lot consolidation documentation
7. Accurately prepare documentation for plasma reception and lot consolidation
8. Identify and remove unsuitable plasma units from processed production units (PU’s) and consolidated lots.
9. Prepare plasma for distribution by Air, Land, and Sea.
10. Assist Classification area by managing plasma that is rejected or relocated from the inspection line
11. Help maintain accurate inventory by performing weekly cycle counts to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
12. Accurately label, receive and store donor center archive sample cases
13. Responsible for maintaining CGMP compliance by insuring a high level of cleanliness and organization
14. Complies with all company policies/SOPs/cGMP/OSHA/EHS requirements
15. Able to work occasional overtime
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of cGMP.
2. Possess good verbal and written communication skills
3. Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
4. Ability to multitask in warehouse environment.
5. Possess good organization skills
Occupational Demands:
1. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically with management and other team members
2. Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift to store plasma in the freezer and transport throughout the warehouse
3. Able to safely and effectively operate Electric pallet jack/Rider Electric pallet jack
4. Able to repeatedly lift 25 to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
5. Able to work in extreme temperature of -30C or colder
6. Able to work with minimum supervision and follow detailed directions
7. Ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
8. Ability to interpret and follow written procedures.
9. Capable of performing basic math and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
10. Capable of being cross trained as a Plasma Classification Inspector
Education:
High School diploma or GED
