Turner Industries Group is looking for Forklift Operators in the Cantonment, FL area. Forklift Operators are responsible for stacking and retrieving supplies and materials. Responsibilities include working under the direction of supervisor, documenting and maintaining inventory, and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness.\n
\n\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check\nMust have valid driver's license\nPer diem and relocation are not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in the Greenwood, SC area.\n\n

Functional Requirements:\n

Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, or gasoline operating equipment; must have a valid driver's license; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may be required to manipulate equipment on unleveled working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines\/equipment; and maintains a clean and safe work area.\n
\n

Qualification Standards:\n

\u2022 Preferably one (1) to three (3) years of experience in specified skill
\u2022 Post-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
\u2022 Hazard Communication orientation\/test
\u2022 Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
\u2022 OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
\u2022 Job site orientation
\u2022 Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
\u2022 Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing
protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
\u2022 Applicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others
at the work place\n

Physical Involvement:\n

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction\n

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting load charts; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and\/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards\n
