Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 6 AM-2:30 PM plus overtime as needed.  

Work Location: Kirkwood, NY

Pay:   The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 + benefits.  Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.   This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

Set up and maintain the production line for safe labeling, and pulling of door materials.  Performs general manual labor tasks including wrapping, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Read and interpret tickets to build pallets of slabsOperate forklift to load and/or move materialsSupply production areas with needed materials from inventorySupports the manufacturing process through inspection and aid to machine operatorsCoordinates and requests material transfersInspect slabs for defectsRoute doors through manufacturingMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Handling/stacking requirementsRead/interpret schedules/ticketsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace, fast pace is physically demandingStrong eye/hand coordinationStanding for long continuous hoursConstant attention to detail and accuracy of material placementConcentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debrisRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to not have any disruptions in production and customer serviceFollow all operational and safety SOP’s as written

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredPrevious work experience in a production environment, preferred
