Leadership is not tied to a job title, i.e. you don’t need to be accountable for a team to be considered a leader. **Job title: Warehouse Team Member (Forklift/Shipping)** Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Shipping team member to join our global packaging and visual communications company. We have an opening at a well-established location in Tracy, CA. In this role, you will ensure the effective operation of our warehouse facility. You will interact frequently with the Warehouse Supervisor daily. This role will be responsible for the impact of the overall safety and operations effectiveness of the warehouse facility. + Reports to: **Warehouse Supervisor** + Location: **Onsite** + Travel Requirement: Less than **5%** + Salaried/Hourly: **Hourly** **What You’ll be Responsible For (Essential Job functions)** + Reads customer order, work orders, shipping order, and/or requisition to determine item to be moved, gathered, or distributed. + Conveys material and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated items. + Sorts and placed materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined material codes. + Assembles customer order from stock and places orders on a pallet or conveys orders to the shipping department and may load material onto a truck. + Marks materials and or fixes labels with identifying information. + Open bales, cases, or other containers if needed. + Records amounts of materials or items received or items received or disputed. + Counts items to ensure conformance to company standards. + In most cases, uses RF scanning gun and computer to enter in records. + Complies worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. + Drives forklift lift, reach truck, and/or using a pallet jack to transport stored material from warehouse to loading areas for shipping. + Prepares parcels for mailing. + Maintains inventory records. + Inspect forklift equipment and follows OSHA rules and regulations. + Physical Agility to lift 20 to 30 lbs. frequently throughout the day. + Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested. **What We’re Looking For** **Required Experience and Education:** + High School graduate or GED equivalent with good Math and English skills. + Minimum 3+ years of experience working w/in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment. + Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered. **Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work processes, operation and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, and procedure manuals. + Knowledge in SAP processes pertaining to the warehouse environment. + Customer Service orientated to react and fulfill customer’s needs. **Physical Demands & Work Environment** + The physical demands and work environment are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential duties.
