Forklift Then Lead Into Driver Role - Day Shift
**Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator to start - eventually graduate into Box Truck Driver (must be comfortable driving, clean MVR record, experience with Box trucks or deliveries and general labor)** **Job Description** Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Forklift Operators handle construction materials such as shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies. Use a scan gun to perform inventory counts and maintain inventory. Work as a team with other warehouse associates to provide the best customer service through accuracy and speed. Provide occasional customer service as needed. **Responsibilities** + Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials + Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks + Handle construction materials including shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies + Use a scan gun for inventory counts and maintenance + Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates to ensure accuracy and speed + Provide occasional customer service + Long-term responsibility to drive a box truck after the contract role **Essential Skills** + Warehouse experience + Forklift operation experience (sit-down forklift) + Experience with RF scanner guns + Ability to unload trailers by hand + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs + 1 year of box truck driving experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Attention to detail + Teamwork + Great attendance and reliability + Flexibility with hours and start times **Why Work Here?** This is a contract-to-hire role with the potential to transition into a long-term warehouse/box truck driver position. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of working 45-48 hours per week.
