Project Description: INRM is a five-year task order (July 2020 – July 2025) under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) STARR II IDIQ. INRM is managed by the USAID Land and Resource Governance (LRG) Division within the Center for Natural Environment (CNE) in the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS).  Activities under this contract may be identified and funded by USAID Washington-based offices and/or by Missions. INRM supports integrated analysis and programming across development sectors. By using a multi-sectoral lens, INRM seeks to strengthen the impacts of USAID’s core environmental programming by recognizing synergies, adopting best practices, and building broader constituencies for integrated programming. INRM is designed to help USAID operating units achieve higher impact environment programming and to support the uptake of principles and approaches outlined in the Agency’s Environmental and Natural Resource Management Framework.

Role’s Purpose:  The consultant will support INRM with graphic design, light formatting and ensuring 508 compliance of INRM’s deliverables.

Objectives and Duties:  The consultant will collaborate with INRM’s Communications and Knowledge Management (CKM) team apply INRM’s visual formatting guidelines on INRM deliverables, including reports, issue briefs, guidance documents, and other materials as needed. The consultant will apply INRM’s predefined Microsoft Word styles, ensuring consistency with INRM’s Word template and other INRM deliverables. The consultant will provide graphic design and layout services, following the USAID brand guidelines and consistent with other INRM materials. When documents have been finalized and cleared for publication, the consultant will conduct a 508 accessibility check (adhering to guidelines in and practices described in https://www.section508.gov/create/) and resolve any potential issues for readers with visual impairments or other accessibility barriers.

Reporting: The consultant will report to the INRM CKM Director.
