Foundation Develop Coordinator
Parkview North Hospital
Summary
Serves as part of a regional Foundation team supporting the advancement of fundraising goals and initiatives to support the work of Parkview Health. Performs a variety of duties and functions related to the execution of an annual development plan which aligns with the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities.
Personally cultivates and solicits charitable gifts through various channels including presentations, phone calls, email, direct mail, and in-person meetings. Develops and executes compelling proposals and presentations. Maintains relationships with donors through various communications channels and 1:1 calls and visits. Works collaboratively with Foundation team members on annual appeals including Dr.’s Day, Giving Tuesday, retired physician events and coworker giving activities. Tracks and evaluates fundraising activities, monitors progress against goals, and recommends improvements to maximize effectiveness. Organizes and plans council meetings in community hospitals in partnership with hospital leaders. Recruits and onboards council members to educate them on the culture of philanthropy at Parkview. Utilizes and updates a donor database by recording activities, call reports, contacts, and strategies on an ongoing basis, in coordination with the existing Blackbaud software. Prepares reports for Foundation leadership, articulating data and outcomes to key constituents such as local Fundraising Councils, senior leaders/market presidents, and the Foundation board of directors. Works in collaboration with the marketing liaison on press releases, donor communications, social media posts and Pulse posts. Partners with the finance team on the oversight of funds to ensure hospitals and service lines spend available dollars and the impact is reported to donors accordingly.
Education
Minimum of Bachelor's degree required
Licensure/Certification
CFRE preferred.
Experience
Three years minimum experience in resource development including but not limited to donor cultivation, special events, stewardship and coordinating volunteer development committees. Experience with Blackbaud donor software or other donor software systems is required.

Skills: Other Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge); demonstrated analytical and organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks; strong understanding of the need for teamwork and an ability to work with highly confidential information; outstanding work ethic, and demonstrated capacity to organize and move goals forward; familiarity with a healthcare environment and structure; nonprofit management and fundraising strategies desired.
