Job Description
The Foundation Lead for the LII Lennox Foundation (“Foundation”) works cross-functionally with key Lennox employees, as well as non-profit partners to execute on the mission of the Foundation. The Lead will report to the Foundation’s lead officer. The day-to-day of this role includes managing multiple projects and their related project plans; develop and maintain Foundation metrics; manage our Foundation Grant Program and budget; and provide employee support on all Foundation-related matters. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks, with a passion for community service. This role requires the ability to establish and document clear processes, work independently, and prioritize effectively. Additional strengths needed include the ability to evangelize the Foundation’s purpose and accomplishments, communicate program status updates effectively through data analysis and reporting, and a passion for elevating Lennox employee experiences. As the Foundation is housed in the Lennox Legal Department, the role requires exposure from time to time to confidential information that must be handled with discretion.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Supporting the Foundation Strategy:
Build, develop, and maintain strategic, cross-functional stakeholder relationships across Lennox and with non-profit partnersStay abreast of corporate philanthropy trends and strategy, community needs; offer recommendations to improve Foundation processes and programsProvide consultation, critical thinking, and thought-leader collaboration to broaden the positive effect of the FoundationPrioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely mannerDevelop and maintain project plans and timelines, coupled with effective communication of sameContribute to the continued deployment and refinement of projects, documenting processes, and process improvements Manage overall program budget, including detailed recording and tracking of expenses; handle billing and payment(s) for any incurred expenses and recoveriesWith Foundation officers’ input, create and own the annual programCoordinate and manage special projects and events, including planning, logistics, and communicationMaintain organization grants list, policies, and processes for grant management
Serve administrative needs of the Foundation:
Schedule Foundation giving committee and board meetingsPrepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documentsOversee giving platform (Fidelity Workplace Giving)Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas and take meeting minutes when requiredScreen and prioritize phone calls, emails, and other correspondence, and manage as appropriateManage and maintain Foundation files and records, ensuring timely retrieval of information as neededManage Foundation Grant Programs:
Conduct relevant research on nonprofit organizations and compile data to prepare reports and documents for executive review and presentation.Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the performance and outcomes of the Foundation’s projects and grants Provide operational support for the Foundation grants programsComplete due diligence for international grants through equivalency determination or expenditure responsibilityPrepare materials for Charitable Giving Committee and Foundation Board meetings, including tracking grant proposal submissions, maintaining the giving database, reviewing proposals, processing payments, and reportingResponsible for full grants program lifecycle, from initial submission, vetting, review, and funding, as well as reporting associated metricsDevelop and refine systems and processes to optimize grantmaking, reflecting industry best practices and emerging trendsManage Volunteer Programs:
Cultivate a network of nonprofit partners with accessible volunteer opportunities in Lennox communitiesProvide guidance to business unit leaders, ERG representative, and others across Lennox to achieve successful volunteer engagements across LennoxEstablish timelines, project plans, and execute a variety of volunteer programs and events locally and across LennoxFoundation Communications & Employee Support
Collaborate with marketing to establish communication plans for the FoundationMaintain Foundation SharePoint site and external contentCreate promotional collateral as neededCreate training collateral as necessary to improve understanding of Foundation processesBe the primary interface and address matters with the Foundation’s volunteer portal Manage the Foundation inbox and respond to inquiries as neededQualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in relevant fieldProven experience and strong history working (at least 3-5 years) in a corporate or non-profit CSR environmentExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workStrong written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional proficiency in proofreading and editingProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant softwareAbility to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Strong organizational and planning skills, with diligence and accuracyAbility to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to anticipate and address needs Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levelsThis role operates in a professional office environment.
