Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking Foundry Laborers for a busy manufacturing facility in Meadville, PA.
Position: Foundry Laborer
Pay:17.58
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
(Shifts are currently working 9–10 hours per day, 6 days per week)
This position supports various operations within the foundry, including cleaning, handling materials, and assisting in molding and casting processes. Candidates must be prepared for a physically demanding role in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain general housekeeping of the shop, including sweeping, shoveling sand, and cleaning cores. Assist molders with the preparation and finishing of molds. Shake out molds and place jackets and weights as needed. Transport castings to the grinding area for further processing. Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing setting is preferred but not required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic math skills. Must be physically capable of handling demanding tasks. Physical Requirements:This is a physically demanding role, classified as Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the U.S. Department of Labor. Candidates must be able to:
Lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally (floor to waist). Lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally (floor to chest). Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally (floor to shoulder). Carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally (up to 25 feet). Stand for long periods (frequent to continuous). Walk, bend, squat, kneel, and perform gripping/manipulation tasks frequently. Compensation & Benefits: Shift differential: +$0.75 for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Union Membership: After 30 days, employees become members of the USW union ($10 initiation fee, weekly dues apply). Healthcare Benefits: Eligible at 60 days. 401(k) with Company Match: Eligible at 120 days. Boot Voucher: $250 annually (provided on the first day). Steel-toe boots with metatarsals are required. Weekly Pay (Direct deposit required). Incentive Pay: After training, employees typically earn 125%–130% of their base rate. Current Work Schedule: 9–10-hour shifts, 6 days per week.
