Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) Division** is seeking a **Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant** to support the **Mini Hydraulic Excavator (MHE)** and **Small Track Type Tractor (STTT)** product groups at the Athens, GA manufacturing plant. This position involves: + Performing monthly results reporting and analysis + Conducting annual business planning and quarterly forecasting + Analyzing capital investments + Providing decision support accounting work This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain in-depth product knowledge and expand your understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems, and procedures. **What You Will Do:** + **Manage the financial forecasting & budgeting process and analysis for BCP Athens team.** Create and present reports on financial performance for internal use. + **Oversee development of automated tools (PowerBI)** to drive efficiency and accuracy in forecasting and reporting. + **Collaborate frequently with BCP Athens leadership** as a business partner and other financial stakeholders across the enterprise. + **Capital coordinator for Athens facility** to track capital investments in comparison to the capital budget. + **Determine Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback period** for low to medium complexity projects. + **Provide Fixed Asset Support** including additions and deletions. **What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:** + **Education and Experience** : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field + **Financial Analysis** : Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. + **Financial Reporting** : Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. + **Accuracy and Attention to Detail** : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. + **Analytical Thinking** : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Problem Solving** : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. + **Continuous Improvement Mindset** : constantly observing your environment, assessing the effects of changes, and determining how to adapt to them. + **Effective Communications** : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + **Managing Multiple Priorities** : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. **Additional Info** : + This position will be located in Athens GA + This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + International and Domestic travel up to 5% **What You Will Get:** + Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
