Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and analyzing financial data, supporting forecasting processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of key programs and support strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver accurate external and internal financial reports to meet program and company requirements.
• Collaborate with the site controller and cross-functional teams, including Contracts, Program Management, Quality, and Engineering, to develop monthly risk and opportunity assessments.
• Support the preparation of monthly forecasts for bookings, sales, earnings, and cash flows.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against the Annual Operating Plan and forecasts.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and maintain the cadence for weekly and monthly reporting processes.
• Provide analytical support for business reviews and presentations.
• Monitor and analyze production hours to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Serve as a backup resource for other accounting staff as needed.
• Address ad-hoc financial requests and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience.
• Proven expertise in performing variance analysis and interpreting financial data.
• Demonstrated experience in leading financial forecasts and planning processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP R/3 and financial tools like Onestream or Hyperion.
• Strong ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve finance-related goals.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or have lawful permanent resident status.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial planning processes is a plus.
