The Role
We are seeking a FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. This role is integral in delivering consolidated financial business performance insights and planning for Corporate Functions across Pearson. The successful candidate will contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles while supporting Finance Business Partners with financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Process financial data efficiently and accurately. Prepare variance analysis and monthly management reporting packs. Assist in providing value-added financial analysis to Finance Business Partners. Manage accruals and adjustment journal entries as required. Support Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting cycles, ensuring timely system updates. Ensure performance targets are met and service levels are upheld. Reconcile data between source ERPs (Oracle/Hyperion) and reporting tools. Review output from our Bangalore-based BPO team. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives. Support ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed. Foster collaboration across PFS and business divisions to enhance service delivery.About You

Key Requirements
Part-qualified or qualified accountant (or equivalent strong relevant experience). Proven ability to review and analyse financial data, supporting decision-making. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups, sum-ifs, pivot tables, etc.). Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with finance and non-finance professionals. Experience with finance ERP systems (Oracle preferred but not essential). Ability to work to strict financial deadlines and prioritise tasks accordingly. A team player with a customer-service-driven mindset.Desirable Skills
Experience in planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Previous experience working in a large organization with multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse teams and locations. Experience using Oracle, Hyperion, and SmartView tools.Why Join Us?
