The Resource Industry CFO Team is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, in Irving, TX – Corporate Headquarters. **What You Will Do:** The FP&A Analyst will act as an advisor on accounting methodology and analysis issues to business unit accountants and will be capable of resolving issues independently. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of various business functions and the ability to conduct complex and technical analysis using data gathered by others to provide accounting opinions or business decisions. The incumbent will lead discussions with senior leaders on business results and financial analysis, demonstrating strong decision-making skills and accountability for outcomes. **What You Have:** + **Education/Experience:** 4-year degree in accounting/finance OR any 4-year degree with an accounting certification (CPA/CMA). + **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports + **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. **Top Candidates Will Also Have:** + Experience with OneStream, Hyperion, Essbase, SAP systems is a plus. + Experience with financial analysis and forecasting with Power BI experience. + Experience with consolidations. + Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills. + Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, high attention to detail and effective communication skills working with a global team. **Additional Info:** + This position will be located in Irving, TX + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available **What You Will Get:** + Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
