Job Description
As a member of the FP&A team, the Analyst/Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the financial analysis of BPG’s Private Funds portfolio while also playing a key role in maintaining and improving financial systems and processes. This role requires a blend of financial expertise and technical acumen, as the Senior Analyst will support and enhance processes within existing tools (iLevel, Anaplan, Power BI) while developing scalable solutions for additional funds. This dynamic position requires extensive collaboration across various business units within Brookfield, including Asset Management, Investor Relations, Finance & Operations, and Technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review quarterly valuation, performance, and projections of the private funds, as well as annual business plans of the private funds investments
• Maintain private fund models in accordance with the LPA
• Prepare monthly reporting including liquidity requirements and foreign exchange analysis of the private funds, and present updates to senior management
• Support the development and implementation of scalable technology solutions to streamline workflows across private real estate funds
• Collaborate with various internal teams and translate business needs into
functional technology enhancements
• Perform and manage ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting required by senior management or other groups
Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2-4 years of finance experience
• Experience with technology tools such as iLevel, Anaplan, Power BI, Mercatus,
Cube, Tableau, etc. is a plus
• Familiarity with Real Estate valuation approaches such as Discounted Cash Flow and Direct Capitalization
• Understanding of common return metrics such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Multiple of Invested Capital
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education, and designation.
