About Abeona Abeona Therapeutics Inc. (ABEO) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing cell and gene therapies for serious and life-threatening diseases. We recently submitted a Biologics License Application (BLA) to the US FDA for our lead investigational therapy, pz-cel, and anticipate US approval in 2025. Pz-cel is a genetically engineered, autologous cell therapy for patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) that has demonstrated remarkable results in pivotal Phase 3 studies. Abeona is looking for a Manager FP&A (remote) to join our team. Role reports to the Executive Director, FP&A, and will provide financial support to assigned business leaders including preparing spend projections, analyzing budget vs. actuals, assisting with board presentations and financial presentations, and supporting other projects. The role will aid the continued development of annual budgets, forecast updates, and associated tools. Responsibilities: + Develop, manage, and monitor the company’s financial budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Executive Director, FP&A. Collaborate with various departments to align financial plans with business needs and overall business strategy + Act as a strategic financial partner to selected department leaders, providing insights, recommendations, and support to ensure prudent decision-making + Collaborate closely with the business in areas such as clinical development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, pre-clinical, and G&A functions + Monitor and report on variances (budget vs. actual), trends, and opportunities for improvement to develop and improve forecasting and manage spending + Review and approve Contract Approval Forms (CAFs) to ensure spending is in budget and financial terms are acceptable + Aid with the development of Board slides, financial reports, dashboards, etc. and forecasting tools + Along with Executive Director, FP&A, present to Chief Financial Officer on budget to actuals and modeling scenarios + Continually assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements + Coordinate with other members of the finance and accounting team on financial information and forecasts + Assist with quarterly financial closes including accruals for any supporting departments + Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and company policies + Less than 10% travel Qualifications + BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; MBA or CPA a plus + 3 to 5 years FP&A experience + Experience in cell and gene therapy (preferred) or biopharma + Experience with forecasting/accounting for gross-to-net (GTN) a plus + Experience with building successful collaborative relationships across corporate functions + Experience with financial modeling and highly proficient in Excel + Experience with Vena (preferred) or other FP&A software a plus Powered by JazzHR
